Juan Navarro

Juan Navarro

Teacher

Hailing from the country of Guatemala, Mr. Juan Navarro has been teaching Spanish Education at Rocky Mountain for 10 years. Mr. Navarro became a United States citizen in 2007 and has lived in Honduras as well, traveling to Ecuador, Mexico, and most of the United States over the years. He became a teacher because he wanted to empower students to reach their full potential as they learn a foreign language. Language is like life...you fail, but have to rise up again and continue trying until you achieve success. His favorite part about teaching is helping his students realize that they are not alone in the life challenges they face. He believes strongly that as hard as life may be, we can rise above the challenges, and become the person we desire to become. When he is not teaching, he enjoys coaching soccer, cooking, dancing, working outside in the yard, and spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, a fellow teaching in District 93, have 4 children. They love spending time together. Their family motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard." A quote he lives by? "Control your temper, put a smile on your face, which will erase anger; speak out with words of love and peace, appreciation, and respect. If you will do this, your lives will be without regret." - Gordon B. Hinckley
