Mr. Mark Ashment, an Idaho Falls native, has been teaching for 18 years, 14 of which have been here at Rocky Mountain. After teaching Math for a number of years, Mr. Ashment now teaches our Robotics program. Mr. Ashment became a teacher after working around the field of education and had several friends who were educators. He felt that the impact he could have in education would make it a very fulfilling career. He loves interacting with students and making connections. Some of his hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, weight-lifting, RC cars, riding motorcycles, MMA, tinkering with his guitar, kayaking, and bike riding. He has two daughters, 16 and 20 years old. Quote he lives by? "Sometimes you do something because it's the right thing to do."
